Im using WT (Webmaster Tools from Google) to monitor my website crawlability, meaning that site is working OK for Google, not many 404 pages, no robots issue. Its also handy to submit sitemap changes quickly and also to monitor visitor incoming search keywords and much more. Very handy tool. Just take around one hour of your time to learn Webmaster Tools.

Create Webmaster Setup with gmail Id and Google provides code then put in Head section in page source

As he said you can create a Webmaster tool. Then you can see back link status, Search quarries, most linked content and much more.
