You need a webserver (usually: apache, mysql, php) installed on your server.
Easy way is to install web based server control panel which include webserver. Example control panels: zPanel, Kloxo, VestaCP(higher RAM)
Then from within web based control panel you will be able to upload website files

You can host website using cpanel which is available in shared web hosting plans.

First of all get the details of your Cpanel or any other platform from your web hosting provider and then login to your panel and upload the website's files to your file manager. Simple...
