Postby the_sssneg » Mon May 23, 2011 5:39 pm

When running a web hosting company, and you start receiving spam and it counts as a ticket and you can't focus on your current clients tickets what do you do? Are there any anti-spam software that can be used?

Kind Regards,
Mel

If you're recieving spam and it's entering your inbox then make that particular e-mail as spam and normally all e-mail systems send every e-mail from that particaular address to the spam box and after that you can simply delete it.

Spam continues to be both a nuisance and a threat to our web resources. It largely attributes to the disruption in our most vital form of communication, EMAIL.

Here are some points to keep in your mind when you get the spam:

1. Try to avoid opening spam emails and clicking on links in spam messages.
2. Don't buy anything from a spammer.
3. Don't be tempted to reply.
4. Don't threaten the spammer.
5. Avoid 'unsubscribe' options.

You can purchase AccuWeb Hosting's Anti-Spam Solution service to protect your inbox from spam content.

Which Support desk are you running? You can mark tickets as spam and then block specific users which will usually block/ delete tickets. Spam tickets can be monitored through a separate view. Be careful when using any anti-spam, sometimes it can also block genuine users.
