GUIDE how to clean any overspammed website or forum from SPAM posts within around 10-30 minutes

Hi there, everyone wants to earn money and forum spammers is not an exception. So when we dont take care about our forum, it usually soon or later turns into abandoned spam forum.

What if there are thousands and thousands of SPAM posts? Some forum scripts allow deleting usernames and all they posts by a few clicks. Some systems dont allow you this and you can delete topics one by one, which can be sometimes unthinkable. It is good to think before spending hours or day manually deleting the stuff.

When you look at the forum SPAM posts you may find some common signs most posts sharing, like some words like "via_ra" or similar. If we have kids forum, probably in no proper posts this word will appear. What we can do no matter what system you use. They all using so called MYSQL database as a data storage. Mysql is usually managed by PHPMyAdmin software which allows as to cary operations like bulk phrasse searching, replacement, sorting, or deleting. This is what we need!

So everything we need to do is access our Mysql managing software like "PHPMyAdmin", then find your mysql database of your forum or other site. Open it so you can see list of tables. Now on the top you can see the Tab "Export", click it and select all tables of your database. Then do export all database date into *.sql file or *.gz file if your mysql is huge. Backup is good to do so we can restore damaged precious data.

After backup, click "Search" tab and enter word "Viagr*" or similar. Then do search and you will be able to see the list of entries / posts where this word appear. You can select them all by Select all button and delete them. Or you can delete all entries by Delete link. Be carefull Yourscript may stop working properly by this hard data deletion. But you have a mysql backup. You may try what it will do.

Please do this process only if you are sure you do mysql backup properly and can restore it. If not, please ask professional.

In my case it took me 15 minutes to clean my overspammed forum.

This software you mentioned is only useful for huge amounts of spam with the similar classification. But different kinds of spam are requiring mods to go through topics and threads and remove the spam manually.
