What are difference between Bookmarking submission or Directory submission?

The basic difference between directory submission and bookmarking is following
In directory submission we basically submits our website or webpage to promote our business so that it can reach to our client irrespective of their location.
In bookmarking we submit our content or some of our best product to show our area of expertise and also to attract our client by updating their information about the business to improve their knowledge and sometimes entertaining them.
For directory submission we have only one type of submission option for almost all directory, but for bookmarking there are different option and way of submission depends on the site for which we are submitting.

Book marking submission will accept different link one time but in the directories it will accept only one link for the submissions
