VPS and Firewalls

I read that firewalls do not always work well in a virtual environment; how can that be true? If it is, how do you protect a VPS server?

Some people report having problems running software firewalls on their virtual servers, but this is not a problem that everyone experiences. If you're new to managing a server then look for a reliable VPS provider who can offer you technical advice if needed. Manny VPS providers will provide you with information regarding software packages which are tested already on their system.

Linux web hosting, with SSH access, real-time malware monitoring, and the Softaculous script installer.

I agree with Fixed and I dont think its correct, when it comes to software firewalls. Software firewall can be installed on VPS and dedi. Personally i did not used firewall on my server and load was at 7 out of 12, when i enabled ConfigServer Security&Firewall from my cpanel, load fallen to 1.
