Do you think grandchildren are more immune to ads than we are?

Depending on the age. Children generally has lower immunity IMO. That is why out attention is needed.

If you didn’t grow up with smartphones and social media, then you, like many adults, are what experts call a digital immigrant. You’ve learned the technology, adapted to it, and continue to navigate it.

Your grandchildren, however, are digital natives—born into a world of touchscreens, autoplay videos, and influencers. They developed a natural skepticism and pattern-recognition ability early on, because ads are everywhere: inside games, between stories, inside YouTube videos, on TikTok, even disguised as “recommendations.”

This constant exposure gives them a kind of built-in filter. They instinctively scroll past sponsored posts, they know when a TikTok creator is being paid, and they can spot clickbait faster than most adults.

While young people might recognize ads more easily, that doesn’t mean they’re unaffected. Modern advertising has changed its strategy. For example, teens and children are tracked by their interests, habits, and even emotions. The ads they see are perfectly tailored to what they might like—or what might influence them. When a creator your grandchild trusts recommends a product, it doesn’t look like advertising. It feels like advice. So, try protecting them with a simple block ads https://adlock.com/. You don’t need a “space rocket” level of knowledge to install and use. It works simply and clearly for everyone
