Hello everyone,

Please tell me, Why is web hosting so expensive ..?

it depends on which country you live in. Im from Europe and $1 monthly for webhosting is not expensive there. You can get such priced hosting without much issues, check this post: post6419.html#p6419

Probably because they have costs to cover as every business, the one I'm hosting with is not that expensive. Thanks God!

it depends with the type of hosting

if it is shared it normally low priced compared to using vps or dedicated servers

to specifically answer your question.... it is expensive mainly because there are costs associated with running servers 24/7 e.g. electricity, maintenance etc

Not sure where you are looking for web hosting my friend, but it has become really cheap nowadays. You get shared hosting from $1 nowadays and VPS for $5 and dedicated server for $45 a month. Web hosting involves cost like support staff, hardware cost, networking and bandwidth costs so of course there will be a price to pay. Best web hosting does not come cheaper.

good web server are so expensive otherwise web hosting are very cheap. many website are provide free web hosting.

The price depends on the quality of hosting services. You can find plenty of very cheap hosting providers also but their level of services might not be what you want so if you need top class hosting services, you need to spend reasonable amount of money.

Definitely agree. There are lots of hosting solutions. And the price is also depends on the country where main servers are located.

We hosting is not expensive things but Some companies make it expensive for un-experienced and non technical people because they don't know about the exact prices offered by other companies with same features. Most cheapest companies I found in my country are following:
1) Godaddy (start with $4.99/month )
2) Hostgator (start with $5.10/month)
3)Winshosting (Start with $2.99/month)
All companies offers different features and specifications along with different plans. You can choose your best and very affordable plan from any cheapest company as compare to expensive one.

But if you talk about Virtual private Servers, Dedicated Servers or about Cloud servers then I accept that web hosting is very expensive in this sense. Because these servers come with high resources of hardware and latest features of Operating Systems.

When you think about of all the expenses web hosting providers have, web hosting prices are not that high at all. Furthermore, it's a very big competition out there nowadays, so providers tend to offer deals and specials on regular basis and they are very often ready to make even some special deals if you are a serious client.
