maybe because it is affordable (quite cheap) way to accomodate a website. One usually do not need whole computer to host his website, just shared part of the computer from some hosting company. Such part of server is called hosting account, shared hosting account

just to decrease the cost of our hosting to a particular website, with small projects shared hosting is best approach to start with as its solely managed by the company and cost effective and you don't have to worry about the hosting issues and management.

Hello,

If you are planning to publish a personal blog or your website is not too big then you should probably go with Shared hosting because it ill minimize your cost. And you can easily find the managed service if you are not tech-savvy. Shared hosting is small resources allocated between other users or customers from a big server.

People with limited budget and less bandwidth often go with shared hosting.

I would say if you have a less traffic , small disk usage website , please opt for a shared hosting.

Shared Web Hosting is probably the most cost-effective way to run a small website.
If you are a small business, write a blog, want an affiliate site, or just to test out a concept, shared web hosting is the way to go.
Set up is practically immediate, plans are generally monthly, you can try it and see if you like it and either continue or move on.
It's the perfect way to get going!

Hello,
most users will switch to shared hosting because of the cost. You will have a hard time finding a cheaper form of hosting that still gives you all the features you need. So, if you want a cost-effective option with good features, shared hosting is your manner to go over VPS.
The level of Shared Hosting is good for low traffic and static websites. These plans generally include very limited resources because of that your site can experience problems with its performance. If you experience a high volume of traffic, your site may likely be offline or underperforming.
